BYSSE – City bus service
Kokkola’s City Transport BYSSE is a convenient and straightforward way to get around the city – whether you’re heading to work, school, or just grabbing a coffee downtown.

Operating area
In addition to Kokkola city center, BYSSE city transport routes also operate in Sokoja, Öja, Kälviä, Lohtaja, Ullava, Marinkainen, and Rahkonen.
The season ticket is valid on all BYSSE city transport routes.
Tickets and Prices
The price of a single ticket is €2.50 (when purchased in advance via the app or paid to the driver with a debit or credit card), or €3.00 (when paid in cash to the driver).
A 30-day season ticket is available in the Matkahuolto “Reitit ja Liput” app for €40.00.
Free travel is available for children under 7 years old, war veterans, and passengers traveling with a stroller, rollator, or wheelchair. A personal assistant may also travel for free if the passenger has an official assistant card.
Payment Methods
You can conveniently pay for your trip using the Matkahuolto Reitit & Liput app.
If you don’t have the Matkahuolto Reitit & Liput app, you can pay the driver directly with a debit card, credit card, or cash.
Routes and Timetables
A real-time map view in the Matkahuolto app shows you where the BYSSE bus is currently located. Bus stop signs will be installed during the autumn, and the stops will also appear in the Matkahuolto app.
